Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to All!
White or dark meat? Apple or pumpkin? Just a couple of the important questions that will be asked a million times over the next few days around our dinner tables! How very lucky we are, to live in such a beautiful part of the world with plentiful harvests, the river at our doorstep and the colours of fall wrapping us in blankets of amber, golds and reds. Walk along any of our local trails and you can see and feel the gifts from nature that are there for us to enjoy. We are blessed indeed!
We wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a lovely Thanksgiving weekend and to share with you, some interesting facts you may not know!
Here’s a teaser… Thanksgiving was first celebrated in Canada when English explorer Martin Frobisher held a feast in what is now Newfoundland to mark his safe arrival to the New World in 1578.
